Les Amis

What we’re building here.

What I really wanted to create was a place that lets people be unapologetically indulgent, but still very down to earth. It is a kind of intentional clash: somewhere you can embrace a little bit of hedonism and still feel completely at home and connected. I wanted it to become a hub for the area, a place where people come together, feel at ease, and settle in like it is a second home.

I’ve been trying to find the right way to explain what I’m creating at Maison GH. Something honest that reflects the feeling of the place, the intention behind it, and the kind of people it’s for.

This is what I’ve realised.

Maison GH is not for people who want perfection.
It’s not for people who get stressed if things are a little unexpected or if a night doesn’t look exactly like the brochure.
Maison GH is for people who are alive in the best sense of the word.
People who enjoy good food, good nights, and good energy.
People who like things that feel real and warm and a bit spontaneous.
People who don’t mind a touch of theatre, a bit of mess, or a night that unfolds its own way.
People whose age doesn’t matter because their energy does.

If that feels like you, keep reading. You’re exactly who I’m building this for.

SO WHAT IS LES AMIS?

Les Amis is a small local membership for people who want a place that feels social, relaxed, welcoming, and a little bit special.
Not a bar with bright lights.
Not a restaurant that shuts early.
Not another dull village event where everyone stands around wishing they were somewhere else.

It’s simply a way to belong to what we’re growing here.

You join once for the year, and it gives you access to the things we create when they feel right. No pretence, no stiff rules. Just a place that feels good to arrive at.

Here’s the atmosphere:

Evenings in the hallway with candlelight and a tiny cocktail menu. Long table dinners where we cook something beautiful and you take a seat. Nights inspired by the warmth and noise of an Italian family kitchen.

Women’s supper evenings with real conversation. Summer drinks by the pool on warm nights. Bread-oven gatherings once it’s repaired. And a small shop in the old piggery with things made in the kitchen and plants we’ve grown in the garden.

Les Amis is not about wellness.
It is not about mindfulness.
It is not about purity.
It is about pleasure.
It is about connection.
It is about the joy of being around people who aren’t afraid of life.

Kids are welcome.
Dogs are welcome.

People who bring good energy are welcome.

If someone prefers perfect order, silence, and strict expectations, Maison GH won’t be a match and that is completely fine. Not every place is for everyone.

WHY A MEMBERSHIP?

Because I don’t want to run a full restaurant with bookings every night, and legally I can’t simply sell dinners whenever I feel like it. A membership gives me the freedom to create things properly, thoughtfully, and with joy, instead of being tied to a rigid service schedule.

You join once.
You become part of Les Amis.
And you get access to the gatherings, the dinners, the nights, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the little world we are building here in the woods.

The membership also supports the things that make Maison GH better: fixing the bread oven, setting up the bar properly, expanding the garden shop, adding more nights, more ideas, and more life. It’s not a corporation. It’s just me, putting everything back into this place as it grows.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Les Amis is for people who enjoy nights with a spark, like trying new things, and don’t panic if something isn’t perfect. People who laugh easily and don’t make a fuss.

It’s for people who like having a social life without driving to a city, who want a community that feels warm and real, and want a place their kids can come without it feeling like a playground.

Basically, if you're a decent human with a sense of humour, you'll fit in.
Age doesn’t matter.
Energy does.

WHAT’S NEXT

Over the next few months, Maison GH will slowly grow into the place I’ve imagined for so long.
A bold little world in the woods.
Not polished or perfect, but cool, relaxed, welcoming, and a little bit hedonistic.

A place where you can show up after a long week, have a small cocktail, breathe out, and feel like you’ve stepped into a softer corner of the universe.

If you want to be part of it, Les Amis is how you join in.

Send me a message.
Ask a question.
Come along to something when it happens.
Whatever feels natural.
